The public is generally confused about the number of doors to be placed in the house. The number of doors should be decided according to the requirement and it has no importance at all, even though, even numbers are usually suggested in the Vaastu books. सुखी संसारासाठी काही सोपे घरगुती उपाय. १) स्त्रियांनी सकाळी लवकर उठून आंघोळ करून हळद-कुंकू वाहून उंबरठ्याचे पूजन करावे, दोन रंगांची रांगोळी काढावी व नंतर तुळशीला पाणि घालून हळद कुंकू वाहावे आणि नंतरच स्वयंपाक खोलीत जावून पुढच्या कामाला सुरुवात करावी. सकाळ-संध्याकाळ उंब्रराच्या दोन्ही बाजूला तुपाचा दिवा लाववा. (घरात सुख:शांती नांदेल.) २) पुरुषांनीच आंघोळ करून घरातील मंदिरातील देव-देवतांची पूजा करावी. मंदिरात कुलदैवत-कुलदेवी, गणेशमूर्ती, शंकराची पिंड, लंगडा बाळकृष्ण, शंख, घंटी, आराध्यदैवत असावे. मंदिरात नेहमी तुपाचा किंवा तिळाच्या तेलाचा दिवा लावावा व दोन अगरबत्ती लावाव्यात. हप्त्यात एकदा तरी संपूर्ण घरात धूप फिरवावी.
